Architecture of Glasnevin

Glasnevin is named from the gaelic Glas Naeidhe, or Naeidhe's Stream, after an ancient chieftan. It is chiefly known for its large cemetary where many famous Irish people are buried including Daniel O'Connell and for the Botanic Gardens nearby.
