Architecture of Lucan, Dublin
Lucan is a suburb of Dublin sited on the river Liffey. Accessible by dual carriageway from the city, the most picturesque approach is via the Strawberry Beds and Chapelizod. Lucan's (or the Place of the Elms) history can be traced with accuracy from after the coming of the Normans in 1169.
