RIAI Awards

RIAI Gold Medal
Recipiants of the Royal Institute of Architects in Ireland (RIAI) Triennial Gold Medal which is the premier award for architecture in Ireland. The medal is designed to promote buildings of exceptional merit and is only awarded every three years to allow buildings to mature.

RIAI Housing Medal
Recipiants of the RIAI Housing Medal which is the premier award for housing design in Ireland. The medal is designed to promote buildings of exceptional merit and is only awarded every three years to allow buildings to mature.

RIAI Conservation Medal
Recipiants of the RIAI Conservation Medal which is the premier award for building conservation in Ireland. The term conservation is interpreted to include works of preservation, restoration, adaptation and maintenance of buildings and sites.

RIAI Restoration Medal
Recipiants of the RIAI Restoration Medal which is the premier award for building restoration in Ireland.

RIAI Regional Awards
The Irish Architecture Awards are made on a regional basis to building completed over the previous year in two cost categories - under 200,000 pounds and over. There is no overall winner selected as the purpose of the awards is to recognise quality architecture in the year of its completion.
