A prestige listing of the most expensive cities in the world shows residential values here still among the cheaper tier of global prices despite our current property boom.

Dublin is ranked in 22nd place in the Corcorans International list of the most expensive cities in the world. This is the first time Dublin has ever appeared in this international league based on a survey of the most expensive two-bedroom apartments worldwide.

"Up until recently, we would not even have been considered at all in this listing," said Frank Doonan, managing director of Gunne Residential, now an associate of Corcoran, and source of the Irish data supplied for this survey.
