A sculptor and poet has secured a High Court order quashing a decision of Dublin Corporation to erect the millennium "spike" in O'Connell Street. Mr Justice Smyth quashed the corporation's decision to proceed with construction of the monument and granted Ms Mary Duniyva a declaration that the corporation had failed to comply with planning regulations in relation to the proposed development.
