City councillors will get an opportunity next week to view hotelier/developer Noel O'Callaghan's plans for the restoration of the former Archers Garage building on Fenian St in Dublin.

As already reported, the new blueprint involves wrapping a four-storey over penthouse office block around the rebuilt former garage controversially demolished over the June bank holiday.

It is envisaged that, subject to obtaining the necessary planning consents from Dublin Corporation, a further phase of development will comprise the removal of the 1960s second-floor extension to the restored Archers building and its replacement with a new glazed second storey.
