RIAI architect angry over scene stealing by politicians
The 'mean practice' of politicians stealing the thunder that rightly belongs to Office of Public Works staff is condemned in a new work on Irish architecture. 'It is a great shame and repugnant to architectural custom that the OPW no longer permits its individual architect employees to be identified formally with the awards they have won on behalf of the Architectural Services Division,' architect Shane O'Toole states in the new publication from the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland.
