Wejchert goes home to Warsaw for award

The Irish Times

Polish-born architect Andrzej Wejchert has long been one of Ireland's foremost architects and recently won an award in his native Poland for best public building created during 1998 and 1999 in Warsaw, the Sobanski Palace Complex. Wejchert originally arrived in Ireland after winning the commision to design the campus of UCD at Belfield and didn't return to Poland for another 25 years, but he admits that winning the award was special.
