Skyscraper blocks set to cast year-round shadows

The Irish Independent

The planning inquiry heard yesterday how the skyscraper buildings in the controversial 1.2bn Spencer Dock development are excessively high, and will cast year-round shadows on many houses and buildings. The proposed buildings are up to 22 storeys high, twice the height of Liberty Hall yet the Docklands Master Plan promoted a general height of five or six storeys for both sides of the river.
