The Taoiseach Bertie Ahern is standing by his remarks about the 'monstrosity' planned for Dublin's Spencer Dock (and backed by the Government) after coming under fierce criticism in the Dail. The comments were made in the course of a programme for RTE in an unguarded moment, he referred to the high rise plan as 'a monstrosity' and added: 'We don't need skyscrappers.'
