The promoters of the controversial 1.2bn National Conference Centre development for Dublin's docklands yesterday compared their neighbouring International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) to a German prison camp. Mr Dermod Dwyer, consortium chairman, said that campshire (quayside) buildings in front of the development would be demolished and and the area opened to the public. This was compared to the IFSC 'where the walls are so high it looks like something out of a German prison camp.'
