According to Ronan Fox, director of property at DDDA, the key to the success of the Dublin Docklands Development Authority (DDDA) has been its balanced approach to the social, economic and physical regeneration of Dublin's Docklands. All too often Docklands rejuvenation schemes have focused on real estate solutions alone that have proved inappropriate and confrontational to the local community. The DDDA has 18 social programmes addressing the education and training deficit for young Docklanders.
