Rich legacy of courthouses
For many people a courthouse is not a place they wish to remember or even admire from a distance, but like it or not these public buildings are an integral part of our towns and cities. It goes without saying that the Four Courts in Dublin is one of our finest architectural monuments. But rural Ireland has a rich legacy of classical courthouses, the best of which may be seen in cities like Waterford and in major towns such as Tullamore, Nenagh and Monaghan.
