The Heritage Council is backing attempts to save a historical building, the 19th century Harper Campbell warehouses in Sligo town by asking Sligo Corporation for a "heritage assessment". The building has already been listed for demolition by the Corporation. The warehouses sited between Union Street and Union Place are graded as of "regional importance" in the Duchas inventory of architecturally significant buildings.
