Turning the corner in terms of design
Styne House, on Hatch Street Upper, was created from the skeleton of the dark and brooding headquarters of ACC Bank, a speculative office development of 1972 vintage, which was designed by Campbell Conroy Hickey. The original building was, of course, typical of its time - and perhaps too easy to criticise in retrospect. But architects Gilroy McMahon have turned it into one of the most stylish and attractive office buildings in Dublin in a £8 million project.
