Czech craftsmen are the latest group to work on the ambitious restoration of the magnificent Lyons Demesne in Co Kildare, undertaken by owner Tony Ryan, chairman of Ryanair. Tony Ryan had viewed the Lyons Demesne once before in l989 and had walked away. When he returned in l995, the house was in an even more sorry state but this time he bought it and embarked on a long, and still unfinished, journey to restore it to its former glory.
