An BORD Pleanala yesterday refused planning permission for the construction of an office development next to the site of a listed building in the capital which was illegally demolished last year. The demolition of the building by property developer Noel O'Callaghan's company Sherborough Securities over the June bank holiday weekend sparked public outcry and widespread criticism from conservationists.
