A plan to build a 23-storey apartment tower block in Dublin's Smithfield has been slammed as as 'insensitive and inappropriate' by An Taisce. The conservation group claims Dublin Corporation has breached its own development plan objectives by granting Fusano Ltd full planning permission forthe city's highest ever tower. The plan by Kulling Properties nearby has also come under fire. 'The proposed developments by reason of their scale, height, mass and excessively high density constitute an inappropriate urban form of development which will materially breach the Dublin City Development Plan 1999 and the integrated area for the HARP rejuvenation area,' said James Kelly.
