The historic heart of Dublin is to be transformed into a "sci-fi" media city, providing more than 7,000 high-tech jobs. A digital district is planned for the Liberties-Coombe area and will be the largest urban regeneration project ever undertaken in the history of the State. Traditional arts such as film, graphic design, music and advertising will join forces with new computer-based technologies to produce digital news and film, which can be transmitted via phones, televisions and the internet.
