Property firm throws a life line to FAI for new stadium

The Irish Independent

The battle to build Eircom Park, the FAI's new 45,000-seat soccer stadium, took a dramatic twist last night when a property development company offered to build the £100m stadium, taking away the financial risk for the FAI. FAI board members received a copy of a letter written by the multi-million pound group, Davy Hickey Properties, outlining an offer to enter discussions which could see the company build the stadium in return for a share of future revenues from the project.
