Work is nearing completion on a new Office of Public Works "link building" at 51-52 St Stephen's Green in Dublin city. To the front, a single office at each level reflects the materials and fenestration of the older building, while to the rear modern bridges of timber and stainless steel span within newer enclosures of zinc and glass. This contrast of new and old is also reflected in the works of art commissioned for the building's public spaces, including poems both in old and contemporary styles reflecting the materials and lifestyle of St Stephen's Green.
