Oldest pub bar none for Dublin's thirsty invaders

The Sunday Times

While most Dublin pubs have been changed irrevocably over the past decade, the Brazen Head has not altered its character too much - at least not over the past few hundred years.Known internationally as Ireland's oldest pub, it was already in business when liquor licences were first introduced in 1635. Indeed, there is contemporary documentary evidence of a tavern on the site at 20 Lower Bridge Street as far back as the 12th century.
