Furniture designers Tadhg and Simon O'Driscoll have created pieces for many of Ireland's trendiest interiors, such as the bars of the Morrison and Clarence hotels and U2's recording studio. However, recent work by the O'Driscolls can be found in the more prosaic setting of Dublin City University's student canteen. For this commission, the brothers designed and made 450 chairs, 80 tables and 200 stools. Simon says the key aspect of the DCU brief was for the furniture to be durable.
