Wexford's new public promenade represents a major engineering undertaking and is an important addition to the amenities of this historic and busy town. Completed last year, the work involved removing the attractive but decayed original boardwalk which ran alongside the railway and formed the quays of the harbour and the infilling of a substantial area to provide a new quay and promenade.
