Plans for the construction of the tallest building in the State at Salthill in Galway are now in doubt following the revelation that a consortium is proposing to build an Irish diaspora centre in Dublin. A diaspora centre is a vital element of the proposed 25storey tower in Salthill, and the developer of the project, Dr Bill Grealish, has admitted the project would be in serious jeopardy if the Dublin centre goes ahead.
