Visitor centre at Cliffs of Moher is opposed

An Taisce has joined in opposition against contentious plans by Clare County Council to develop a €12.5 million visitor centre at the Cliffs of Moher. The council's plans already face opposition from its former partners in the venture, Shannon Development. Now the National Trust has lodged an objection, claiming the proposal was not justified and would have an adverse impact on the environment. An Taisce has recommended the cliffs for World Heritage Site designation.
