The new office block beside the Mansion House in Dublin is not at all the outrage that some feared. Yet it was clear from the plans by Shay Cleary Architects that the proposed development would be a positive contribution to the street and would even enhance the setting of the Mansion House - though the current Lord Mayor, Cllr Michael Mulcahy, is said to be quite miffed about its impact. City Architect Jim Barrett, is delighted with the outcome.
