An ultra-modern library - complete with its own Zen garden - was officially opened at DCU by Taoiseach Bertie Ahern yesterday. The 10,000sqm John and Aileen O'Reilly Library seats 1,200 students and has 380 PCs with internet access. There are also laptop docking areas and a room offering specialised hardware and software for disabled students. Half of the {ŁE}22m cost was met by the Government with the remainder coming from private donations, including a substantial personal gift from Sir Anthony O'Reilly, through the O'Reilly Foundation.
