New 'signature building' for Blackrock School of Business

A new "signature building" - located in the former chapel - is on the drawing board for the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business at the UCD Carysfort campus in Blackrock, Co Dublin. The project will entail the conversion of the chapel to a library with seminar rooms and a new entrance lobby. The architects FitzGerald & Partners have approached their task as primarily one of conservation. All work will be reversible as far as possible with the historic fabric left intact and layered over if possible rather than removed.
