Mulligans objects to Tara Street scheme

The Irish Times

Mulligan's pub on Poolbeg Street, Dublin 2, has appealed a decision by Dublin City Council to grant permission for a €20 million Sam Stephenson-designed office and retail development it believes would be likely to damage its structure "... perhaps even to such an extent as to require demolition". Coolbrook Developments, a company controlled by Paddy Kelly and John Flynn, proposes to demolish a row of buildings running from Mulligans down to George's Quay to make way for the 51,000 sq ft development with elevations on to Tara Street, George's Quay and Poolbeg Street.
