Minister to visit ancient site facing M50 threat

The Irish Independent

Transport Minister Seamus Brennan is to visit the controversial Carrickmines historical site this week before deciding on final plans for the last part of the M50, which has been delayed by protests from archaeological and environmental campaigners. A dozen protestors have occupied Carrickmines Castle near the partially excavated medieval site in a bid to have the M50's South-Eastern section realigned.
