Row over two-bed cottage that replaces gate-lodge

A two-bedroom cottage under construction on Tritonville Road in Sandymount, Dublin 4, is causing a stir amongst locals who say it is radically out of line with other houses on the road and too close to the public footpath. Locals say they are astonished that such a development would receive planning permission, given its incongruous position in front of the building line of existing houses, "as if it was taken from somewhere else and just plonked on the side of the road," said one observer.
