ESB says Poolbeg is higher than the Spire

The Irish Times

The spire may be the tallest structure in Dublin's city centre at 120m (400ft), but it is dwarfed by another landmark on the city landscape - the twin stacks at Poolbeg Power Station in Ringsend, Dublin 4. Edel Morgan reports. The Spire is twice the height of Liberty Hall and seven times taller than the GPO, but it falls short of the chimney stacks by 87m (285 and a half feet).
