A much maligned city bus station is to get a €6m facelift. Bus Eireann yesterday confirmed it will submit a planning application to Cork Corporation for a revamp of the city's bus station, a project expected to kick-start the city's ambitious dockland development programme. The station has been slated for over 30 years as one of Ireland's worst urban eyesores. It will now be virtually doubled in size and upgraded, with improved passenger facilities.
