Smithfield is in line for an office and penthouse apartment tower - which reaches 41.2 metres at its highest point - if a planning application by Haysite Developments is successful. The 0.16 acre corner development site will involve the demolition of 55-66 Smithfield, 1-6 Haymarket and 21A Arran Street West in Dublin 7. While the tower reaches a height of 11 storeys over basement, its overall parapet height is 25.8 m - about seven storeys . It will also have a 1,220 sq m bar and restaurant at basement and ground floor level.
