A major underground rail interconnector that will link Dublin's two key railway stations, Heuston and Connolly, is a key part of the strategic reform of the rail system that Transport Minister Seamus Brennan is due to publish in the next few days. The new Liffey Tunnel, as it is likely to be known, is expected to cost more than €1bn.
