Dubliner's design picked for world's biggest museum
An international jury chose an Irish architect's design for what is envisioned as the world's largest Egyptian antiquities museum, the Egyptian culture minister announced yesterday. Shih-Fu Peng, of the Dublin firm heneghan.peng.architects, created a modern, desert-hugging design with a roofline reflecting the three 4,000-year-old pyramids that stand near where Egyptian officials plan to build the museum.
