An Taisce appeals DART station plans

The Irish Times

An Taisce has appealed planning permission to upgrade two DART stations - Killiney and Blackrock - and has accused Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council of failing in its legal duty to notify it about all planning applications involving works to protected structures. It says the county council has adopted a "tactic" of referring only some applications about a week before the statutory five-week period for making a submission is due to expire. An Taisce is a prescribed body under the planning legislation and local authorities are obliged to inform it about sensitive conservation related applications.
