The Department of Education is to complete the refurbishment of its historic headquarters in Dublin at a total cost of almost €24m. The final stage of works, which will see listed building Tyrone House fully refurbished at a cost of almost €6.6m, is the last building in the Marlborough Street complex requiring conservation. The work, due to be complete next April, involves extensive renovations to the house - built around 1740 - and the central park section of the complex.
