Gordon Murray and Alan Dunlop are working on proposals for a new yacht club at Rosses Point, on Ireland's west coast. The new building follows the contours of the natural landscape and is constructed from elongated "bricks" of riven slate and natural oak. "It is a building which will be situated on a very wild and exposed part of a rugged landscape" says Alan Dunlop " where the shore meets the sea and will look as though it is constructed from the very breakwaters "

Gordon Murray and Alan Dunlop are continuing to pick up work in Ireland, a situation which Gordon Murray is very happy with. "It can be exasperating at times but the standard of new building public is so high, we are very happy to be part of it" he says.
