Legal negotiations will begin this week between the Dun Laoghaire Harbour Company and the consortium that won the competition to develop Carlisle Pier. The pier will be given over to the consortium on a long-term lease and the harbour company will take a slice of the income stream generated from the development. Project leader Brian Moran of Urban capital said last week that he learned the company had won the competition last Tuesday afternoon when he received a congratulatory phone call from the harbour company chairman, Paddy McMahon.
