Skyscrapers 'would dwarf tallest buildings'

The Irish Independent

The landmark €400m development earmarked for the former Players Wills site on the South Circular Road in Dublin will feature a proposed 28-storey residential/commercial skyscraper. The site - also encompassing the former Bailey Gibson site - extends to eleven acres and is targeted to accommodate a total of 15 different buildings. Almost 900 homes, as well as a new commercial complex, are envisaged for the new southside precinct which will include a number of new streets and squares. The National Association of Building Co-Operatives is seeking planning permission for the development, which is the largest cooperative-style development ever embarked upon in Ireland.
