Winners of Scalaheen Architectural Design Ideas Competition Announced

Tipperary Town Council and the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) announced the winners of the ‘Development of Lands at Scalaheen, Tipperary Competition’. Three architectural teams, two from Dublin and one from London have won joint first prize for their medium density housing schemes. The winning design ideas were announced by Mayor Christy Kinahan on Thursday, 30 March 2006 at a ceremony at the Excel Gallery, Tipperary. The three joint first prize winners are Carew Kelly Architects, Dublin; MCO Architecture, Dublin and bptw partnership, London who each receive a prize of €5,000. A further six entries were short-listed for exhibition.
