Dublin architects Horan Keoghan Ryan (HKR) plan to open two new offices in Central and Eastern Europe. The offices in Prague and Bratislava will be open by the end of September. Combined with recently opened offices in Manchester and Florida, and its longstanding office in London, this brings its number of international locations to five. Managing director Jerry Ryan said: "At the moment 25pc of our business is outside of Ireland but, in three years time, 50pc of the business will be abroad. "If you have local knowledge you can deliver locally as well as bring some international experience to the table." Mr Ryan said the decision to expand eastwards was prompted by the scale of Irish investment by developers and private equity groups; the new EU member states emerging economic strength; and the positions of both Prague and Bratislava as major transport hubs.
